In our recent project in Santa Monica, we performed underpinning on a corner that had experienced subsidence. The underpinning process included adding extra footings beneath the existing structure to provide additional support and prevent further settlement. We also repaired a vertical crack in the footing using epoxy and a strap, installed a new girder beam, and replaced damaged 4×4 wood posts.
